Anyone wanting a FRS, please DO NOT go to Boerne. They are asking a premium for USED FRSs. They won't talk to you if your offer is below 30k.

14 miles is used?
These guys do realize there are brand new ones going for less than what they want, right? :slap:
I dont know why they listed the low mileage ones as used but they are the same price as the ones with over 1000 miles on them, either way, still priced waaaay to high.
Why the fudge are their cars listed in the PreOwned section and why do they have so many miles on the clock? This makes no sense to me. Are these some kind of Scion Demo or Fleet vehicles?
If they are, I would be scared of them. Can you imagine getting one of the Demo cars that all of the magazines, websites, vendors have been beating on? I would steer well clear of these cars. |
My guess would be that they can't sell the FR-S over MSRP due to the Scion fixed pricing but if they put a few miles on the cars and find some way of selling them as pre-owned then they can charge whatever they want since they are no longer a new car.
They are never going to sell these at these inflated prices!
They bought around seven of them. They told me from a dealer in the midwest - they claim they bought at sticker, so they have to mark up. They will come "down" to $31K or so. But this did not explain why one had 2K miles on it. It does make you wonder. BUt they have the right to sell a scarce car at a high price and we have a right to not buy it. They have sold at least 3 - I know the Whiteout I drove from the them sold very quickly. But I ended up buying on from a Nissan dealer in Florida with less than 700 miles on it. I bought it at leats 2K BELOW list and paid $750 to get it to Texas - big win. Saved me at least $6000 shipping this deal in, than from buying from Boerne. I had been talking to the Scion sales crew over at Universal - they will sell at list price and they even called me when they got one in - when it was a color the others on the list did not want. Those guys seem like very straight shooters.
