I believe these are "reverse torx" bolts, so you'll need a special reverse torx tool to remove. I think the idea is to prevent seat thefts like the S2000s.

He is correct. Its a M12 I believe. They were hard for me to find so I just used a "Gator Grip" like adjustable socket. Worked like a charm.
