Z86 Pegasus White on Kiwamis and Eibach Pro Kit

Its finally done, and DAMN I love it.

Heres my 86, lowered with the Eibach Pro Kit
On Work Emotion Kiwami's 18x8.5 +38 wrapped in Bridgestone RE002's 235/40/18 all round.

(BTW I have 4x17" GTS rims with tyres available for people who want a full size spare - $350 each - pm me)

Enjoy.

Mate, very very nice.

The curves and lines of the 86 just come together when lowered on wider nice alloys. The best colour of course:thumbsup:

Still waiting on mine,

rosco186 10-20-2012 06:01 AM

looks sgoooooddd! did you need camber bolts with the springs?

omgwtfbbqsauce 10-20-2012 06:09 AM

how does the ride comfort compare to stock springs?

spiller 10-20-2012 09:26 AM

excellent! i have this same combo except i went with 9.5 all round and wont be running centre caps. i'll probably put coilovers in too as id like it a little lower than what the eibach springs offer.

No, my suspension guy said he'd put em in if needed but it wasn't.

I prefer it. It feels more grounded yet maybe only slightly stiffer. These are the US springs - apparently Australia will be getting the German spec'd ones and they are stiffer again.
This is my daily driver and I drive a lot for work, so comfort was important.

70NYD 10-20-2012 09:58 AM

Very, very nice
Very tasteful and thank you for no flush/poke
You should have good handling with that setup as well (not overly wide, tire suits rim width ie no ridiculous stretch :))

ZZT86 10-20-2012 10:57 AM

Looks superb, Perfect even ! What was the ride drop? How does the car's handling & ride compare to factory setup ? What's the car like on those grippy tyres? Is the cars alignment within factory spec or out ? Expensive ? Cheers - great job !

Nardi330 10-20-2012 06:49 PM

Looks good. Looks like ground clearance is still good for DD.

Surok 10-20-2012 08:13 PM

Looks gorgeous buddy!

you and I might end up being twins :3

do you find that it becomes a bit floaty with the bigger wheels?

kvl 10-20-2012 09:25 PM

Looking good, I'm having same white on blk work wheels except using sportline instead of pro kit !

nix 10-20-2012 10:14 PM

Looks amazing but hmm @ the beat sonic fin. I dunno if I will put mine on now.

The ride height change was actually pretty minimal - because the rolling diameter of the wheel/tyre combo was about 20mm more (and surprisingly I could feel that it was higher before the springs went on) I gained about 10mm clearance, and so the springs which dropped it about 25mm, means that my actual clearance change was only 15mm lower
Just measured it - clearance is 115mm under the engine pan (lowest point). The front lip clearance is 145mm.
The sportline would have been too low for me (as it is I have to mount my driveway carefully due to the large slope).

It is a bit more grippy - but I always felt it wasn't grippy enough before - I would get wheelspin just pulling out of my street without trying hard. I can make it spin and slide now, but by choice. I'm sure when I get it on the track I'm going to love it.

I must've left the alignment specs at work - but for memory it was within spec.
Expensive? All relative - but I thought the fitting for springs was a bit pricy - came in at $550 including full alignment (not including springs which I supplied)

Not at all.

Gee, the thought didn't even cross my mind yester but that extra 20mm RD is gonna screw your speedo accuracy. It looks magnificent tho !

It actually improved the accuracy, it used to be out by 7%, now it's out by about 3%

ZZT86 10-21-2012 08:09 AM

Sorry for being ignorant, but is the Eibach kit spring only or a complete strut purchase & are you happy with them? Cheers !

Anduz 10-21-2012 09:11 AM

that looks great! can't wait to see it in person if we ever get to check it out during a perth meet :)

Spring and bump stops. Designed to work with stock shocks. I'm loving them.

Stunning

Nafe 10-27-2012 04:22 PM

Rims and lower look awesome dude! Prefer the TRD spoiler though, and not a fan of the sharkfin, but the important bits look great :D

white_knight 01-27-2013 05:08 AM

Just perfect, mate!

Until I saw this thread, I was procrastinating between the Pro Kit and Sportline. I have to say, for the Pro Kit, that is lower than I thought.

Do you mind getting a close-up shot of the wheel gap?

Fizz 01-27-2013 06:56 AM

Are your factory wheels n tyres still for sale? How many km's on them?

Hi mate your car looks amazing! and that's exactly what I was looking to do.

You've been asked earlier but how is the ride comfort compared to before you changed springs? Firm? Bouncy? Bumpy?

I'm also in perth and get my white 86 gts in march 😉 cannot wait!

Are these the standard eibach pros or the 86 variant?

Turdinator 02-04-2013 09:25 PM

@Z86 Was just wondering where you got the springs from? They sound about perfect for what i want.

Z86 02-05-2013 06:45 PM

Ride is a bit firmer.

I ordered the springs from the US through one of the vendors on this forum - Genome Tuning from memory. It's the standard pro-kit.
