looks like the FT-86 wont be displayed in the LA auto show, I PM'ed one club4ag member who goes and take official pics for a magazine to this event every year and asked if the FT-86 will be in the show. he replayed "No Toyota America requested it but Tokyo International Auto Show is just few weeks away and they only have one concept car to show" so i guess will see more info on the Tokyo auto show.

It's all good. Thanks for clearing up.

No FT86 at the LA Auto Show.:( Ferrai, Lamborgini, Bentley, Maybach, Saab, Infinity, Alfa Romeo, Bugatti, and a few others weren't there. Chrysler no longer have the neon and the PT Cruiser. There were less cars on display so there was a lot of space between the cars. All the major manufacturers tried to have a green concept car. The industry is showing a lot of weakness in this current market. :(

man bummed. i was planning on going to the la auto show today and didn't even go cuz the ft-86 isn't there. i hope they get a lot of good feedback from the Tokyo Auto Salon.

Isn't the Tokyo Auto Salon a tuner show just like SEMA in the states? I wonder if there will be any TRD related info released at that show?

I don't know why Toyota would skip both the LA Auto show and the NAIAS (Detroit auto show press days 01/11/10 - 01/12/10 public 01/16/10 - 01/24/10) just to show the FT-86 at a relatively small tuner show if they weren't planning something special.:iono:

So it's confirmed that the FT86 won't be at the Detroit show too?? That would be a mistake to skip the first and biggest US auto show of the year.
