The annual SEMA Show is an exciting time for car tuners and enthusiast worldwide, as the aftermarket gets ready to unleash all of its newest products for today’s hottest cars. And what car is hotter this year than the Scion FR-S?

As we mentioned in our review of the FR-S, Toyota has put out one of its greatest sports cars ever in the form of a Scion. Since its release, the aftermarket has pounced on every opportunity to eke out more performance from the FR-S, and we expect to see plenty of new offerings at this year’s show in Las Vegas.

Meguiar’s teamed up with Scion as well as designers RJ De Vera and Jon Sibal to create this machine, which will sport a Vortech Supercharger under the hood. In addition, the team reached out to Motiv Concepts for its high-flow catalytic converter and a bespoke exhaust system with custom powder-coated tips.

But performance isn’t all this ‘NuR’ Concept FR-S is all about. Grabbing the attention of show-goers at SEMA could be a tough task, considering the sea of customized cars that show up from all across the nation. As a detailing company, Meguiar’s placed emphasis on the fine details of the project, outfitting the exterior with a ChargeSpeed carbon fiber aero kit. Five:AD pitched in with its rear trunk wing, while the headlight and taillight housings were modified.

A coat of Meguiar’s Fly Yellow paint was then applied, before Daley Visual worked its magic with a matte gunmetal racing stripe. For a wheel setup, the team reached out to Forgeline Motorsports for its GA1R Forged Monoblock wheels that utilize a single-bolt design. Staggered in 19-inch, the wheels conceal a four-piston Brembo big brake kit with Clubsport race calipers in the front and Sport calipers in the rear. Suspension duties are handled by a set of KW Suspension Variant 3 coilovers.

Lastly, plenty of details accent the interior including black leather and grey Alcantara with yellow contrast stitching, custom yellow seat belts and dash panels wrapped in Meguiar’s Carbon Black Wraptivo.

AutoGuide will be sure to check out the Meguiar’s Scion FR-S at the Scion booth at this year’s SEMA Show. But for now, check out some close up teaser photos that were sent to us of the project.

I don't like those center caps one bit, but the rest s pretty nice.

Shagaliscious 10-18-2012 06:07 PM

Mmmmmm, love the yellow.

Rampage 10-18-2012 06:18 PM

Agreed. Car looks great in yellow.

CSSM 10-18-2012 06:18 PM

Okay, I need this in my garage.

K, are you reading this Scion. A lot of members liking color "Yellow". It might be a good idea to bring FR-S RS color as "yellow"... but that's just my 2 cents

OrbitalEllipses 10-18-2012 06:24 PM

So are those wanna-be centerlock center caps or legit centerlock wheels? Either way....why?

Maybe FT86club members can email/write to Toyota/Scion and tell them this :)

I think it might just be me, but the interior looks like it threw up on itself... The exterior looks great though.

Those are center locks not center caps; I like em... maybe in a different color.

"Forgeline Center Lock Conversion kits replace your car's multiple-lug nut mounting system with a center lock hub adapter and a single center locking nut on each wheel - identical to those used on the world's most exotic race cars. Choose from our original Center Lock Conversion (with full-length hub spindle) or the new Flush-Loc Conversion (that eliminates the snout of the adapter for a "flush" clean look)."

BECAUSE RACE CAR? I don't see too many people doing this at $1,200+ per wheel, not to mention the cost of the conversion... But it does look baller.
