hid light levels
 

Is there anyway to raise it up higher than the current limit? I wish it could go a bit higher so I can see more in front of me...I know it's there for safety reasons, but just a LITTLE bit higher. Is this possible?

im assuming you have an FR-S?

convert to BRZ headlights or GT86 headlights with level adjustments

The level adjustments only allows you to go lower, 0 being at normal height. lol

ah ok. well i guess he needs to do a custom projector then that has a higher beam output

I have a brz. It's at the position where the lever raises the lights to the highest. But I want it to go higher so I can see more out in front of me at night.

You can use high beam...but that's your only other option, unless you want to mod/manually mess around with it.

I; however, do not recommend you doing this because it will blind the on-coming traffic... and in most places, illegal.
Don't know what your situation is but I find that our headlights are really bright... and they light up the roads pretty well.

Yeah I have to agree. Even on 0 I really feel for the people coming up the opposite side of a hill because my lights are like directly in their faces. The users's manual has different situations and the recommended light level setting for each.

When I first started driving it I wanted it higher as well but after about 1k miles I feel like it's just right.

yes! i believe it is set at the highest level at 0 for a very good reason
any higher,and you risk those "hids" blinding the sh*t out of the on coming driver! ..just sayin'

Your headlights have adjustment screws on the back to manually raise and lower the vertical level of the projectors inside the lights. Set your lights on the highest setting from inside the cabin, then dial them in with the adjustment screws to your desired height. This way, you can still lower them a bit if you have cargo or passengers in the back so you don't blind oncoming traffic.

The location of the adjustment screws should be in the service manual. I am sure there are threads on here too that walk you through the process.

Dump a body or something heavy in your trunk. Problem solved. Also yeilds more grip for winter ;)

I hate to be the guy on either side (opposite or in front) get blinded by your intended raised headlights. Surely you wouldn't want to induce any more road rages out there.

I find that setting it to 0 is plenty high enough and projects far enough in a city environment. I set mine to 1 because I don't want to blind other drivers.

Be courteous to your fellow drivers, don't raise your headlight (unless you ask for trouble).

The low and high beams look like they are the same actual beam, the low beam just has the top half of the beam blocked off. I too feel back for other people when I'm going over hills, love how bright the lights are though. There are times I wish I had a little more spill light. Beyond the abrupt line where the low beams end, I feel kinda blind.

I found that I was getting flashed when I had mine set to 0 so I currently have them at 1. Still plenty of light to see what's in front of me.

if there is an adjustment screw find a wall and mark where the beam sits. then turn it down to 1 and adjust them up to match the previous mark. now when you go back to 0 it will be just a bit higher and adjusting back to 1 will be the original setting.
