Forum Suggestion

On another car forum I am very involved in we created "member cards" (for lack of a better term). These were business card sized sheets that had the name of the forum, a line for a member name, and graphics. The purpose was for passing out at shows/on the streets. We give them to people or put them under the wipers of cars we see, inviting the owner to the forum to connect to other enthusiasts of the car. The line would be filled with the username of the member who passes it out, for referring points.

If you guys want, I would be happy to design this card and post the file for you members to type your username in and print out however many you want.

We have had a lot of (in that case) Camaro enthusiasts join the website after receiving a card, so maybe it would work here! I will wait for permission from a moderator/Hachi and enough interest.

Here is what the Camaro card looks like:

Edit: I added a poll above

:bump: because I posted this at a late time and it got lost quickly

Hm... as for me (mod), I have a business card already made (cuz I get invited to Press Media stuff), so I don't have any reason to have it... but maybe other member might be interested on it

Its a nice idea in case the owner isn't around or any fellow members are not comfortable approaching a stranger and doesn't want come off as some weirdo to tell them about this forum :iono:

For me I haven't met any BRZ/FRS owners whom haven't signed up on here yet, but I have no problem letting others know whats good with FT86club.

I would forget to give them to people anyways, completely forgot to mention the site to someone I talked to about my BRZ (and others at the dealership since mine had the fuel pump replaced today) for about 15-20 minutes.. driving away I realized I should have mentioned the site. Oops :(

Yeah, I can't make it to shows so this works well. If I am at the store or a school parking lot I can just take a second to slip it onto their windshield. They are small enough to slip behind my ****s sporting goods card in my wallet without being noticed.

I voted no. I could be completely wrong about this but I can't imagine any car enthusiast not already being aware of this site after the years of anticipation waiting for this car to come out.

Not everybody who owns the car are big car enthusiasts or have waited for a long time. Sure they may have done some research but that doesn't automatically bring them here. Knowing there is someone in the same area on the forum, and being invited by them is a big confidence booster to registering.
