September production, issues free or not ?

My dealer sent me the VIN number, the production date was on the 12 of september 2012, Does anyone know if the CEL issue was fixed before or after this production date, i don't know if my car will be effected by the common issues :iono:

Check the last four/six digits of your vin against the TSB

My 86 VIN: JF1ZN11A7DG008606

is there any VIN deference between 86 and the FR-S ?

No one knows what fixes have gone into production, especially considering an issue that has no TSB, recall, or otherwise at this time.

There is no TSB for the CEL issue regarding idle problems.

Sorry had a brain fart. Just been reading so many of the issue threads and that one of the first fixes is to change the hpfp, then ECU, and then cams. Thought there might be a correlation between the two.

curious about this too, my frs will probably have a sept/october build date

The cutoff range was 9026 I think, which yours is lower than. However, your VIN is different from the US market which is where the TSB originated. If I had to guess, it does NOT apply to your VIN range. So your question remains unanswered.

Not everybody have CEL in the affected range so don't worry too much.

Given the problems people are having getting cars out of the port due to being held for a QA issue, I'd say you are safe
