Any news on late FR-S shipments?
 

Has anyone gotten any good news on the arrival of their late car yet?

Mine is hitting the port in Houston on Friday, will be be at the dealer in OK a few days later, and then I'll fly up from Austin to pick it up :happyanim:

I got lucky as the dealer I am purchasing from had a Tundra that another dealer wanted so they did a swap.

Comes with the protective coat and BeSpoke upgrade which I wasn't really set on getting, but beggars can't be choosers!

Last time I heard anything I was told that the cars were being held at the processing center for a quality issue. That was probably two weeks ago though.

The last I heard mine won't be leaving Japan until Nov unless it catches the 1st ship at the end of this month. So far it seems like it's going to be Nov on ship #2. Estimated to arrive to the San Diego Area around Thanksgiving. Been waiting since the start of June but I wanted only Ultramarine and no other colors so I knew the wait was going to be long. Especially if their holding cars for QAing which I don't mind either.

I ordered mine in April, picking her up on Thursday!! I'm doing a special toyota Company Lease program that's why it has taken sooo long. They limited the program to recieve only 10 a month. Gigiddy

Me too. I ordered in April, towards the end so my car didn't go in until the May order. I still don't know when I'll be picking mine up though. Congrats!

Ordered mine early September, supposed to be at the dealership this week. Mine was held up at the port also due to some issue they were trying to figure out. Can't wait!

Nice! Yea I ordered like April 12th (or some time around it). Didn't get my confirmation till may...then nothing till about a month ago saying it was finally built. Good luck! What color did u order? Asphalt AT for me. Wish I ordered raven...Aww well :)

Almost got Raven, but I've always been partial to orange exotics, so when I saw this car had one, I had to get Hot Lava.

According to my sales man mine was at port waiting to be shipped on the 10th said it takes a fast ship 10 days to get here so yea should hit port with the latest shipment hot lava 6mt

you guys on the left coast (san diego) are lucky! you can be patient because you are NOT dealing with white rain,or ice,so it don't really matter!

My car is due to dealer at this friday and I am going to pick her up at Saturday I CANT WAIT :) :)

I've been waiting on my Whiteout MT to get here for a while, it is the only color I wanted so I guess it was to be expected. I ordered in September and it is currently in Japan being built and is supposed to be here around the 22nd of November... It is taking forever!

Question, I plan to order my frs this weekend. Are there any tips I should know about. Every dealership I go to says something different. There is one dealership that says they can get it to me first week in Nov when it comes to port but then i asked him if the car was for the dealership ifself and he said no ones claimed it yet and just to come in and put a deposit down.

When ordering, is there a way they get you like a VIN to confrim your order??

Yes, I got a VIN number when my car arrived at port. They should be able to for you.

I just ordered my FR-S MT Asphalt yesterday. Dealer was pretty upfront in saying they can't give me a clear delivery date. The sales person and sales manager said the earliest I should expect it is mid December.

Haha true enough though this my first car (buying myself) + first manual + first FR. I'm concerned about it getting here when the rain moves in since I'll be learning all this during that time since I'm a noob at everything with this. I'm just happy I have an eta now.

As for the VIN stuff I haven't gotten word on it for mine, though I'm sure you get it when its either on the ship or getting off.

Figured I would wait until mid November before I start calling him a bunch

Ordered it about a week or two ago, and my dealership called me saying it will ship out Oct 18, tomorrow and come in as early as Nov 10th. Hopefully it'll come in by mid November.

That turn around time seems faster than I would have thought! Hope it works out the same for me. I have 3 orders ahead of me right now so all I can do is play the waiting game.

I've emailed my dealer twice since order on 6/12/12 It seemed like the second time he gave me an attitude through the email, though i cant say for sure. Now i just go through SOA.

I got my VIN while it was on the boat to Jacksonville, was still on the boat, plus they Removed all the factory installed options when it got to port.

I've got about 30+ emails from my sales guy. He's actually very helpful and cool

Southeast just got like 100+ FRS in sitting in port of jacksonville, fl and/or on the boat. Mostly whiteout with spoiler. Its on its way to the SE region dealers. Mine is also in port and due for delivery on the 23rd.

I ordered mine on September 18. It arrived at the port in NY on October 5. I got notice that it made it to the dealership Wednesday, and I'm going to pick it up today!

My FR-S just arrived at the dealership, so excited!!

I ordered September 26th, but it missed the allocation so mine is suppose to go in on October 22-23. Looks like people are getting 2 weeks till it ships and 1 month turnaround after a order is excepted. Nice!

Just heard from my sales guy mine hits port on the 23rd then three weeks till I see it

I ordered mine on October 1st. Recently told it's in transmit from Japan and should arrive in port November 2nd and about a week from there to the dealer...dealer said no VIN until it arrives in port so I'm just waiting and waiting.....waiting

Your dealer is full of it.... I got my vin the day my frs hit the production line

I got my VIN while it was on the boat. Other than that, no other news. Apparently it sat at the processing center for a month for a quality issue. Had it moved up to be processed more than two weeks ago, still not here, and still no delivery date.

Also if any of you guys want to see incoming FRS in the SE region, go to

I love going there just to see the incoming FRS with the options. I see a good chunk hitting the SE dealers between 10/30 to 11/7. The one with the 10/23 delivery date hit port about 2 weeks ago.

I wonder why my dealer would lie about that - that's shady business - maybe I'll just get my deposit back and go elsewhere. :eyebulge:

Find it interesting my dealer had zero on the lot and told me 3 people were ahead of me. They said to expect delivery in December but based on that link they have more that 3 coming in and 2 that some what match my selection but with a few extras I didn't ask for.

Thinking of emailing my sales person and seeing if they already have a VIN
