Power Slot vs Stoptech drilled rotor

I'm planning my brake upgrade to do this winter, I plan on using Ferodo D2500 pads front and rear, Goodridge or Speigler brake lines, and AP 5.1 or Motul brake fluid. I can both of these rotors for similar cost, I am leaning towards the Power Slots due to the increased surface area over the drilled rotors but I want to make sure the Power Slot is a decent quality rotor. Has anybody dealt with both brands and if so is there one you prefer?

Edit: Changed the picture to the Centric blank, will be going with one of these two, no drilled Stoptechs.

Why not OEM rotors? In my experience these types of rotors do nothing for braking. It would be worth it if they were lighter, but the slots/holes don't help and often eat pads faster.

Centric blanks. Or the powerslots if you want something that's not a blank. I wouldn't bother with the swiss cheese junk.

slotted are good. but if you're not going crazy, just get some blanks...like dba, which are being produced...or centric.

The Centric actually looks pretty good, i didn't look at them closely because they were so cheap but i think they will be fine. Thanks for saving me some cash!!

Any input on pad choice? With the money saved on rotors the Ferodo's shouldn't be a problem but if there is something else i should be looking at too please let me know. I have used Hawk's in the past, not a fan of the HPS but actually liked the Performance Ceramic.

Centric owns stoptech and powerslot. Just saying.

@JoeBoxer, any idea if there are weight savings between these brands? That would be something i'd consider as part of the decision process.

Let us know what you end up with. I believe Brembo makes blanks also but not sure on how competive they are, if even they have them for our cars yet.

Unless you have worn out the OEM rotors there is no reason to change them to either of these. You won't get more braking torque or better heat management. The only reason I can see is for bling which is fine. If that's the case go with the slotted like everyone else says. THey are less prone to cracking.

Brembo has some drilled rotors also but they specify not for track use or with race pad compounds. I'm mainly doing the rotors for looks, the E-coating keeps them looking nicer so the centric will suffice for what i am looking for.

I use centric premium blanks as a simple OEM replacement for my cars. Good quality rotor.

I use the stoptech street performance pads or ferodo 2500 for the street. The st pads do well and are cheap but I really like the ferodos. This is for street cars, though the ferodos can handle a light beating.

For what usage? I generally run OEM pads on the street but I won't be able to any longer (due to non-oem front setup). If you are sticking with OEM calieprs and you haven't had a problem with OEM pads I'd just keep using those.

I'll be trying AP S100 street pads soon but otherwise I don't have much experience with alternate street pads. I think the ITR has some axxis somethings on it, they work fine on the street too but I'm not even sure what they are. They suck on the track tho :P

Thanks guys i think you have saved me quite a bit of money, going to go with the Centric rotors front and rear mainly for looks, AP S100 pads up front, keep the oem pads on rear, and Goodridge brake lines. AP 5.1 or Motul fluid, haven't decided on that yet.

Powerslot and Stoptech rotors are both created from the Centric Premium blank. Go with the Powerslot rotor if you want a performance rotor.

The setup you have listed above sounds great, should really improve the pedal feel
