Hi Giccin.

First time poster; long time follower of FRS/BRZ on these forums. The look of the BRZ from the press release a few days ago put me off but seeing the pictures at the show in that blue really did a 180 on me. The white looked great too. Ultimately now it will come down to options and pricing but I'm leaning towards the BRZ.

The dealer you're talking about is less than a 3 hour drive for me. I can do that for the group discount. So, count me in tentatively depending on details and pricing.

Momo, is this GB for "initial buyers" or are you guys waiting months after the release?

I told the guy in 6 months from about 2 days ago.

Initial buyers get a big deal too. Those who want to wait it out.. I'm sure during the economic downfall they'll get desperate. :P

The red trim and red steering wheel will more than likely be an option and not standard from Scion.

ok with Scion looking as cheap as it is... BRZ all the way.

Don't get me wrong, cheap is good, just not what I'm looking for.

I may be moving to Cali by the time this car is released maybe group buy with you all? But I guess now it all depends, scion or subaru

Gonna make a separate list.. for those buying when it's initially released. And for those who want to buy it the following year/year and a half.

I've called a couple subie dealers and like said before. Deadly economic times = desperate measures.

There's also still plenty of time to think this through... but let me remind you..

- Get your finances straight and ready to go.
- Make sure you got a nice DP
- Make sure your credit or the person who is co-signing for you has great credit
- What EXACTLY you want. This is because I believe I can push the dealer enough so he'll say "I'll get you want you want for your price."
- Prices will be rather reasonable. (hopefully) Or lower than sticker. Expect +$$ if you want to add-on more stuff.

Those buying when the car comes out.. I'll need a headcount then I'll push the dealer for better deals.

Those buying a year from now.. we'll have to wait and see what else Subaru throws at us before we shower them with our money.

I'm in, I know exactly what I want, and if you can get a big enough discount I'll fly out (provided I can get a ride from the airport) and pick up the car and drive it back. Let me know when you get details.

BRZ so you'll still be my friend.

You saw the interior and said.. "fuck dat."

Lol

I lol'd so hard when I saw that interior. Exterior isn't so bad but I don't like the protruding rear lights.

Some cosmetic stuff can be replaceable.

All comes down to price and.. POTENTIAL HATCH? lol

Yeah seeing what else will come in store as the years go on.

I kind of expected it to be a step down since it's a Scion and I remembering the whole JDM movement. There will be bits and pieces to convert.

Ain't gonna be no hatch, at least not on the first model.
