Getting red 86 on Wednesday
Wednesday morning.
Red Toyota GT86 with leather seats. Then 620 km of drive. I feel like having ticket for roller-coaster ride in my hand and having just two people in the queue in front of me! :) |
Bitch'n! Congrats! I've always wanted to Drive the route Nissan did back when the 350 came out...in Prague!!
|
Could you please tell me more about that route? This is something I haven't heard of.
And close to Prague - say, 100 km north - there are beautiful mountains with roads of millions curves. Can't wait to test Toyobaru there! |

First impressions: suspension much more stiff than my previous Seat Toledo II (not sold in USA, imagine VW Golf sedan with nicer body). Driving wheel reaction - brilliant. Easy to stall (after driving car with diesel engine - no wonder). Reaction for throttle - brilliant, I have to very careful to not exceed 4k RPM. Driving through serpentine roads in the mountains, with millions of colours of autumn... I do not how to describe this feeling. It is like flying. One strange thing - the GPS (Toyota's Touch & Go) screen has 3 modes: Auto (depending on front lights position), Day and Night. I tried to set it to "Day" to have it lit up all the time (sunny weather), but whenever I switch lights on - it switches to Night setting, as if in Auto setting. I will ask in service about it. Funny situation: I have parked my car front to the wall on the gas station. Next to me parks Toyota Avensis, and to drive away I go reverse to my right, so I check right window to not get too close to the Avensis. From passenger side stands really attractive girl, correcting something on her trousers or shoes. She bends and exposes really nicely her *suspension*, so I have big smile. She turns around and looks at me, and I drive forward. On the drivers side stands (probably) her boyfriend and looks at me with really angry face :P Two cars tried to race with me: old Alfa Romeo 147, after start with high RPMs left huge cloud of black smoke behind (looks like engine takes too much oil...). I just smiled at it. Second, an really old Audi S3 (like 20 years old) with four teenagers inside. I ignored them and had fun to watch them braking hard at next lights. |
