DRIVERS
This is not a race. This is not a race. This is not a race. This event is to give you a fun and safe place to drive your car at your limit. There is to be NO racing and NO drifting. If you found to be drifting or racing (passing in corners etc.), you will be asked to leave the track immediately and no return of entry fee. For novice drivers, we will have a large handful of instructors on hand to help you get up to speed. There is a sound limit of 98db from 50 feet. If you are over the sound limit, you will be asked to modify your exhaust to pass sound. If the car is still over the limit, you will not be able to finish the day. NO STRAIGHT PIPES! Again this is a fun trackday, so lets PLEASE all bring our cars home in one piece!

You can check out more info and see who all will be attending at the iTrack Motorsports Facebook page! Click on the event. There you will be able to find info, updates, schedule (when finished) and run groups.

a friend of mine runs this every year. this will be the 4th one i think. we previously did them at TGPR in Alabama this AMP blows that track outta the water. This is probably the least expensive track day you will ever see at AMP. $85 and two toys is an incredible deal for the guys looking to try out the car on track but not wanting to make a huge investment. i would love to see some of you guys out there with me. AMP is an awesome track to learn at.

Never been to a track, definitely might have to check this out given the price and location, think it might be a great place to learn a little, have some fun, and fill up a suburban with toys!

Granted I don't even own a helmet. A DOT approved helmet doesn't look too expensive, though I'd rather pick up something I could also AutoX in as well if I were going to buy one. Time to do some looking.

Thanks for the info.

Interesting. Bump for a cool event. I have family in Covington, but that is kind of the wrong side of town.

arucard77 10-16-2012 12:04 AM

you guys will enjoy this track. I've taken my car out here three times now and have a blast every time. Well matched to our gearing as well.

ATL, you going to the Santa Run?

BadCompany235 11-13-2012 10:42 PM

I'll be there as well. I'm not officially registered but I know Matt so I'm talk to him and figure something out. If nothing else I'll bring toys and I'll ride with you guys if you want any instruction. All of my track club is gonna be there and I'll most likely be hanging out in the Massie garage with my guys anyway. I've spent too much time at amp this year I think. lol.
