Do they fit, sprint and endurance?

The sprint, yes, based on the pics I got from a guy selling a set. I ended up buying other wheels instead. If you are interested the set I saw is over on NASIOC, sellers username is hootie xt. His are powdercoated (or maybe painted) black.

Oh and just to affirm this information, they definitely fit!

Have the TE37V 17x9 +36 coming in 2 months. Very similar spoke clearance design to the enkei RPF1 17x9 +35. Fingers crossed the AP Sprint will fit. Will report once i get my hands on the wheels. I only need 1mm of clearance!

mrk1 03-31-2013 12:58 PM

Anyone have a link for the stop tech 328 template? There website seems to be down. From the first pics it looks like a 8-10mm spacer may be needed

mrk1 04-03-2013 04:14 PM

Found it,

here is the stop tech 328 front kit and a 17x7 Team Dynamic 1.2 et38

http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...ps33dd18d7.jpg

little close near the wheel weights but certainly fits.

Same wheels and Essex Sprint, great clearance all the way around.

Another wheel to add to the AP Racing/Essex Sprint template fitment.

Enkei RPF1 17x7.5 +48mm

Hi

I wanted to keep the stock offset and similar width (don't ask me why, it seemed like a good idea at the time). My Enkei RPF1 17x7.5 +48mm arrived today and I can confirm the following:

Stock: Fits with lots of space
Essex Sprint: Fits easily with the closest part to the spoke being 5mm
Essex Endurance: Tight, but fits. The closest part to the spoke being 2mm
AP Racing Formula Front: Good clearance to spokes but only 3mm to the outside rim. A wheel weight would NOT clear.
AP Racing Formula Rear: Good clearance to spokes but only 3mm to the outside rim. A wheel weight would NOT clear.
Wilwood BBK Front: Does not fit. No way, no how.
Wilwood BBK Rear: Good clearance to spokes but only 4mm to the outside rim. A wheel weight would NOT clear.

17x8 +42 Weds Tc105N Clears the Wilwood BBK with plenty of space.

Since no one mentioned Wilwood here, just guessing this is a vendor driven thread.. Just adding some info

Would the 17x8 +45mm offset fit the willwood BBK kits?

If I were to drop all the money Id go for willwood kit or a cheaper option the D2 kit.
BUT that said fitting brembos from an 08+ STI is a direct bolt on same disk to just redrill to 5x100. Or get any used Porsche brembos and have a machine shop make a braket for you. thats all the brembo kit really is just a bracket I dont knw why some one would pay $3500 for brembos. Theres a porsche scrap yard next to me that has a mountain of brembos 4 and 6 piston. and there dirt cheap like $200 per pair with pads and sensors lol all I need to do is find a suitable disk and have a bracket made. Ill prob just get the STI disk new and redrill to fit 5x100. It wont be even close to $1000 to get some good stopping power. I still cant understand $4k BBK u get so little for the money. I mean 4k will get u a sick turbo or supercharge kit much more worth it imo.
On my M3 i put brembo from a porcha 911 turbo and disk from an x5 hahaha the disk needed no mod at all, Now she stops so good i have to worry abt ppl getting thrown thru the windscreen loooool

That's nice. This is a BBK wheel fitment thread though so why did you post that here?

Was looking for ppl who wanted to DIY or ppl whom have fitted brembos from another vehicle and couldn't find anything, so I just gave my 2cents. Im sure the fact that 08+ STI bembos and disk are direct bolt on with factory wheel could help ppl out here.
Maybe I should start a new thread in the DIY section. (DIY BBK) does that sound reasonable. sorry for messing up the thread.

I'll throw my 2cents in too. :-) I would like a cheap easy way to get better stopping power that looks good; and I tried the piecemeal DIY before. And MY experience with it was really bad. So to save money fixing the problems and heartache I prefer a complete bolt in solution.

Sorry for the sidetrack

I'm probably going to get a set of these for my track tyres (but I'm getting the AP Sprint kit). Until I confirm my guess is that they will not fit. The issue with the Wilwood kit was both clearance to the spokes (for the front at least) and the RPF1 is a little smaller inside diameter where the spoke attach to the rim and so the larger disk/caliper doesn't clear if there is a wheel weight.

I can confirm that 17x8 +45 TSW Nurburgring wheels clear the Sprint kit by a mile. I didn't take any photos because it was 90 degrees outside when I rotated the tires but there will be no issue.

I'd assume that the Sprint kit would fit if the Wilwood kit fits if anyone w/ the templates would care to chime in.

Not necessarily true, some rims fit one and not the other and others are the opposite.

Uh, yeah I know that. It only seemed likely as an educated guess since the Sprint kit is one of the smallest kits you can buy. Does Willwood make a more compact solution? Obviously a more definitive answer would be nice.

Wilwoods will fit on stock wheels and that was verified via wilwood and the place I got them from.

In terms of aftermarket wheels, I have 18x9.5 all around +38 and no issues. Matter of fact I have a shit load of room. Hope this helps

Physically fitted Stoptech BBK with plenty of room. Did not take pics but tried all templates for Stoptech BBK models, Wilwood and Essex/Sprint. They all fit with plenty of space.
