Can anyone read Dutch?
http://www.autoweek.nl/autonieuws/17...ar-alvast-2012
Here's a rough google translate, but I don't quite trust it. "For our part, we can fall and safely skip Christmas this year. We can not wait for 2012, because then the BRZ Subaru finally on the market. This prototype runs as a messenger around in Europe. Subaru is still busy with the test work on the BRZ. Sports coupe that comes on the market next summer, along with his twin brother Toyota FT-86. In America there is the Scion youth brand the car as FR-S will perform. Subaru makes at least for the technique. All three cars roffelt a 2.0-liter boxer engine with direct fuel injection into the forecastle. It can be coupled to a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic. The motor draws power to 300 hp, but there will undoubtedly be less powerful versions. Toyota makes this project such as design and marketing. Subaru throws for four wheel drive sports coupe overboard. The BRD gets 'normal' rear-wheel drive - as befits such a model. The designation has been released a few weeks ago. BRD stands for Boxer, Rear wheel drive and Zenith, which means something like flagship. Furthermore, we already know that the car 4.20 meters long, 1.77 meters wide and 1.27 meters high." |
While I can't read Dutch Google doesnt do a bad job
http://translate.google.ca/translate...26prmd%3Dimvns WOAH!! If this article and google hold any truth the motor is capable of 300HP! |
Yeah, that's why I'm a little fishy lol
|
a 2.0 with the ability to be tuned to 300HP is wayyy too fishy
I can see this thing having like 230HP max tuned from factory but anything over 250 seems like a pipe dream to me |
" a 2.0-liter boxer engine with direct fuel injection into the forecastle"
Aw man - I can't wait to have a 2.0 liter boxer engine in the forecastle! :D |
is that like a white castle? I could go for a bag of tiny, bland hamburgers
|
What?!
I've always been told that a gentleman doesn't let someone "roffelt a 2.0-liter boxer engine with direct fuel injection into the forecastle.":bonk:

I'm sorry i do not know dutch...
|
I'm Dutch.. but I guess most has been translated already hehe.
|
... er... can you confirm the thing about the hp? That sounds off o_O;
|
I can confirm that they (Autoweek) said it would have up to 300bhp but Autoweek isn't exactly a great source lol.
|
But, can we only dream? Of coarse, this cant be, because we would of seen a Subaru version testing at the ring. They only tested the new engine, because it will probably be the same in both cars, for now, (not hopefully lol)..
|
Im dutch, its just a mistake, they mean 200hp. Or they looked at the racing Subaru version.
Autoweek keeps saying stupid stuff, also pricing they mentioned 50.000 euros at some point. |
