Skyline drive day trip anyone...
 

Thinking about going up to Skyline drive either tomorrow or Sunday. Peak weekend is next weekend but also means peak tourist traffic, so to avoid the bulk of 5 mile per hour drivers I thought about going this weekend. Anyone else up for a few hours of high elevation twisty roads? Just let me know which day work better.

If so, we can meet up at Springfield plaza Trader Joes parking lot.

I love skyline drive trips, we would definitely be down for this but would have to schedule it for monday or sunday next week. Im booked up otherwise.

So, I ended up going to skyline drive today. The weather was perfect. Skyline drive was busy but not so bad that I didn't get to drive my car the way I wanted to. Some of the scenic stop areas had an infestation of stink bugs flying around everywhere. It was funny watching tourist freaking out with all the bugs landing all over them. I kept my windows up as I slowly drove through those parking areas. It was like watching a B movie horror flick, "Invasion of the stink bugs!" Lol. Anyhow, I renewed my Annual pass and plan on going back after next weekend, which will be total tourist chaos.

Oh, I got to see the new 2013 Porsche Boxter....sa'weet car. So much better looking now! I got a woody just by looking at it. I spoke to the owner and he said he paid 90k when everything was configured / taxes and tags. :eyebulge:
I'll keep my BRZ thanks. I might possibly upgrade when they come out with the vert BRZ. We'll see.

Damn, I probably would've gone if I saw this earlier.

Ill be heading there Oct 28th for a meet/cruise with some of my Acura buddies. One of them said some Subies will doing a cruise there the day before. I don't know the specifics on that one though.
