Why did the site go down?
 
Did anyone else have an aneurism when they went to open the forum and it went to "Page not found"? Because I was beside myself. I rely way too much on this site.

Same here. I had the same prob. I thought maybe my internet was bad (due to crappy weather condition: crazy wind & power on/off)

everything worked for me except this site so I knew it wasn't my connection. So whats the deal? what happened?

The hosting site was up, and the IP was pingable, so it seemed like a config issue or hosting provider issue. Softlayer has had a number of outages lately.

I usually browse on my phone while at work and today I was in the middle of nowhere, just thought that was the problem.
