Body care and detailing

What's this opti cote that the states is going on about? It looks fantastic. Do we have an equivalent?

Not sure. Will need to google it and get back to you. But anything that helps my paint will be a blessing. I already have a FAT chip on my bonnet which makes me think it's a very thin coat of paint on the cars. Need to get it sorted out before I get rust growing in there.

We don't have opticoat here in New Zealand either but our dealers offer duraseal or gardx paint protection which appear similar going by google. Might be worth seeing if you have those available in SA.

PS. Did you watch the last All Blacks vs Springboks test? We enjoyed it!

Thanks nzer... I'm going to have to find out about that to avoid future disappointments with chips etc.

Yeah... I saw the game. All blacks had us beat. Well done:clap: Your team is on quite a streak...

Ja, I'm sure u did. U Kiwi's were unstoppable and you had all the luck. We even hit the post once, we just could not get a beak. And then that try at the start of the 2nd half, just killed us.

Opti coat is Huge in Australia, maybe you guys could organize something with them to come over and do a bunch of cars, where specifically are you guys.

Sounds a lot like PTS106/Amazing Glaze we've got here. Have tried it before and to be honest, I prefer a regular wax using Adam's Buttery wax.

We are from South Africa, but the product costs us over a Grand down here.

I'm not really a tuner myself so can't really comment. I do have a full NZ TRD version on its way to me for early November with Toyota NZ agreeing to trade my current GT86 in for the full purchase price.

I have been looking at a lot of the stuff on a pretty cool Japanese site and have ordered from another couple of sites as well. In keeping with the rules of the forum I'll PM you the details as that could be a good option for parts for you as well as the vendors on here.

Opti Coat can be bought online and is not to hard to install on your own you just have to get the prep done correctly and it takes an afternoon to do it. opti coat will ship anywhere normally costs under $100 usd and most paint shops can put it on for you if you do not want to do it yourself I will warn that one little mistake with this stuff becomes very obvious.
