Cant use headunit with bluetooth.

Basically before when i connected my phone with bluetooth, i was able to control my music from both my phone and the headunit. Now i'm unable to use the headunit and i'm forced to use my phone. It was more convenient for me to have my phone tucked away and use the headunit. Any solution to get it to work again?

I have an iphone 4s, updated with IOS6. I've tried deleting the pairing info for both and reinstating it, but no luck.

What is your audio source on the phone?

xdbuix 10-08-2012 09:31 PM

Car multimedia. Everythings connected in the same way, and i didnt change anything. It's just that i cant see track info or control any music over the headunit.

No I mean are you using the "ipod" app or Pandora, or spotify, etc to play the music on the phone?

xdbuix 10-08-2012 09:45 PM

oh my bad. just the ipod.

Are you on the stock hu or bespoke?

xdbuix 10-08-2012 11:17 PM

I'm on stock. So what I did was I deleted the profiles like 5 or 6 times n I was able to get it back. The system definitely buggy but I got it to work. It's just really frustrating that it works one time then doesnt. But thanks bro

Its possible this is an IO6 problem. I have an iPhone5 and am having issues with audio skipping repeatedly when playing back through bluetooth. Also, when I receive calls there is a lag between time you answer and when you can hear the caller. Never an issue with iPhone 4 running IOS5.

I'd love it if a few people would post a video walkthrough of all the head units showing common tasks like answering a call, placing a call, playing music, does it stop when you exit and resume when you get back in the car, etc.

I, too have a problem with sending/receiving calls the the stock head unit in the FR-S. I'll be using my Droid Bionic with Blue tooth enabled; an incoming call will ring the head unit but I can't answer it.

Unfortunately Bluetooth and/or software in the BRZ's headunit just sucks, on mine sometimes I can control the music and see the track info and it will read me my incoming text messages, other times no track info, no reading text messages and can only pause.

Can you guys edit in your phone models/OS/bluetooth version if you know it? Like if it's android is it 4.0, etc.

Shizuma 10-11-2012 07:00 PM

Mine is the Samsung Galaxy Note, Android 4.0.4, Bluetooth 3.0

xdbuix 10-11-2012 09:22 PM

iphone 4s, IOS6, bluetooth 4.0.

It's been running better lately. It was just a couple days where i had lots of issues, but its running smooth now.

I basically deleted the bluetooth profiles over and over. Reset my iphone a couple times and now its running smooth. It's just weird because the issues came out of nowhere.
