The worst looking wheels ever?
1 Attachment(s)
So yesterday when I was driving and saw yet another car with those wired wheels with knockoffs that stick out almost a foot from the wheels. I have been seen more and more of these lately. I don't know if it is just me or if anyone else think they are just hideous. I get scared that they are going to scratch my car if i get too close to the car. I really really hope no one in the fr-s/brz community will ever put these hideous things on their car. Has anyone notice any other ugly wheels?
They look like chariot racing wheels.:barf: |
My bicycle had these but in 26", looked sick.

:slap:Lol now sum ass will go fit that on their 86 to try and make the rim look better:bonk:

If those are the worst looking wheels you've ever seen, you've been sheltered a bit. :D
I can think of quite a few off the top of my head but don't have pictures. May have to check later. Those wire spokes just look like lowrider style to me. |

I am an equal opportunity car nut.I like hot rods to lowriders to imports. I actually like lowrider wheels if they are on lowriders (classic only, pre 1970). I dont like them on anything made after 1970(well except for a few exceptions). Lowrider wheels have the knockoffs sunk in the wheels not like these things. These ugly things could hurt some one. like if someone was taking a right turn really near the curb and there happens to be someone on the sidewalk.

They look great on a Jaguar E-Type (XK-E) from 1961 to 1971 but not on a FR-S.

edit: Found pic? http://www.slabcustoms.net/images/pi...pa%20pokes.jpg That? I agree it looks dumb, but I can't really see them harming pedestrians while they're driving unless that person was already in harm's way to begin with. Other vehicles, maybe. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they weren't outlawed eventually though. moar edit: Wow this opens up an entire new world of absurdity to me. Apparently they're called "swangas" and the "poke" is determined in increments of apes. http://www.mcssl.com/content/188038/orangs.jpg "Orangatang poke" lol. Am I the only one that finds it funny that orangutan is spelled incorrectly? Yeah, probably... Well, when I get my car, I can tell you guys I'm definately slappin on some swangaz wit sum Siamang Gibbon poke. |
Yes thank you for finding the pics. But those are exactly what I am talking about. What an eyesore.
