Is that at the wheels or engine? How many km's had your car done?

I did a run at 50kms, it was on a Dynapack as well :)

I'll take a pic of my readout sometime, stats were:
131.144ps / 96.46kw at the wheels
144.422ps / 106.22kw at the engine

so if you are measuring at the engine.. why isnt it 147kw...

Engine not run-in yet, over-hyped specs by Toyota, different dyno machine, take your pick

Surok 10-07-2012 10:27 PM

i think someone should rip an engine out and dyno it. if it doesnt have at least 147kw... ....there will be an issuee

Surok 10-07-2012 10:27 PM

my stock 3sge MR2 with 130000km on it with a 125kw 3sge, gave 100kw at the wheels.

why does a brand new car with 147kw have the same. sounds suss to me.

Dave put up the one with kilowatts!!

Just over 2000ks on this one. From most reports ive seen out and about on the net anywhere from 103-115kws is the average at the wheels kw. This one is on lineball with those figures.

Surok 10-07-2012 10:38 PM

a[part from the fact it says 96

how was this engine run in? toyota method ?

Blur GT 10-07-2012 10:52 PM

A little bit more spirited than the Toyota method, but not driven hard until about 1400ks. Has had an oil and filter change at 300 and 1950ks.

How exactly did you measure that?
Do you mean at the flywheel?

KamalT 10-08-2012 02:23 AM

I have stg1 flashed if u want to throw o n the dyno as a comparison test. Stock except for tyres and flash.

I can only assume that they inputed a drive train loss factor of 10% into the dyno and this calculates an estimated flywheel figure.
