Question: 225/40/18 or 245/35/18 on Volk TE37SL 18x9.0 + 45?

Dear wheels and tires gurus,

Which is a better tire size to run on the wheels mentioned above?

Any rubbing issues?

Thanks!

Brian

Either one will work, 225 is slightly stretched on a 9" wheel but has more brands to choose from and are cheaper, only a few companies make 245/35. If you aren't going to drop it I'd say 235/40.

JB is correct; 9 is wide for stock power levels. Ie, unnecessary weight. However, 235 - 265 mm width will work well.
