Nice! Does your car have tune as well? I know their car baselined at 158 and with intake header and tune they made 185 so the exhaust seems on par with all the others. Makes the exhaust more appealing now since the price is the cheapest so far and has a nice sound...def cant wait to hear yours on the 20th

Yeah i would say, they would pretty much make the close to the same amount of power. This will be fine for now, may just add the Pulley. Yup was tuned with Ecutek.

Trust me bro, when i had my 02 wrx... i would always get pulled over, so know the feeling, when you see it you can make you mind up. We'll take a ride so you can hear how it sounds from the inside.

Dyno a Stock Exhaust vs. Invidia
I'm looking for a comparison between the stock exhaust and the Invidia.
Ideal situation would be to Dyno the car stock, then install the exhaust (about a 45 minute job), then Dyno the car again. The reason I question this is because Edmunds dyno'd a bone stock FR-S and got 173 RWHP - See link below http://blogs.insideline.com/straight...cion-fr-s.html |
What gear was the dyno pull done in?

Can you explain torque mutliplication during Dyno Runs?
Can you explain to me if the Dyno reading are adjusted for the (mechanical) torque multiplication that a gearbox provides a vehicle? (I always thought you are supposed to run a dyno in 4th gear (which in the old days was a 1:1 ratio). Running the dyno in third gear would provide an INCREASE in the amount of torque delivered to the rear wheels (and thus requiring a "adjustment" of the torque reading the dyno shows.)
My son (who just had his car dyno'd) say they ran it in third gear. (And I was surprised at the results - 2 liter turbo Sylvia was putting 253 HP to the rear wheels.) I don't know if I believe this... .Need to learn more about Dyno runs. |
