Scion FR-S Vs. 20 Dodge Dart R/T

I have the FR-S but my first choice was going to be the Dart but they were not releasing the R/T the same time as the regular model so I just went next door to scion and bought the FR-S because my current car was in desperate need of a transmission and I didn't have time to wait. Any ideas on which one is better? And how about the soon to be released SRT4 version of it.

Also Dodge has said that the SRT4 version is going to have an AWD option.

The Dart is just a rebadged Alfa Romeo. Look up to see if people like the Alfa and you'll get your answer.

Right After writing this my friend called from Michigan and said he saw the SRT4 near the proving grounds and it has 325hp AWD and coil overs are standard according to the test driver that had it.

You'll have more fun in the FR-S.

MORE POWAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://mmii.info/icons/TurtleSpartan...esNotEqual.gif More fun

And if it does come with all of what you mentioned as Standard equipment, it will be about the same price as a new STi. All of that go fast goodness doesn't fall out of the sky for free!

You are trying to compare Apples to Seagulls.

I agree the fr-s is more fun but the dart is faster and has better acceleration in the srt and the r/t I'm glad I went with the fr-s for the fun factor

They are talking 28k for the srt model and I have mostly chosen faster cars the fr-s is to keep the miles off of my Corvette so I can have my Corvette for fun and my fr-s for daily use

The R/T version is less horsepower and torque than the FR-S/BRZ (with .4L more displacement) and it weighs 400-500lbs more... so I'm not sure how it's faster. It's also FWD.

The SRT4 version sounds good on paper, it should be right around 300hp. It will compete against the new regular WRX in 2014 which will probably also be right around 285hp and has a well proven AWD system, and will almost cost about $28K.

Yeah I know they claim a faster acceleration and a slightly faster top speed probably done on a dyno not pavement but as a second car that can actually seat people it was a more promising choice for a daily car then the fr-s my Corvette is my sports car and I love my fr-s but in reality its no comparison not totally on performance but the over all is the dart a good choice? My wife is also looking for a daily car

Why not just get an Impreza then?

Why would you pick your second, more convenient car to be the FR-S. that just seems like a poor choice to me.
