Accelerated Performance Exhaust scrap price?

Anyone know how much I could get for my AP exhaust I have? I have yet to hear back from AP themselves, but I've had issues with it. Fitment was bad out of the box, so they advised me to bend the hangers to make it fit. The hangers themselves have some light surface corrosion, and it stretched a new urethane bushing so it looks almost like an 8 now. On top of all that, it's developed a leak now where 2 of the flanges meet. I couldn't sell it to anyone in good conscience.

Anyone know what I could get as a scrap price? It just sucks since the thing was $1000.

The only thing is I've had it for a few months now and I don't think they'd accept it. Like I said, we'll see what the Accelerated guys have to say about it

They should have some kind of warranty on the product. Either way, AP doesn't need the bad press so it may be in their best interest to just send you another one.

They need to sell more exhausts so make sure you let them know you're an unhappy customer. Perhaps try also posting this in the tech section.

I don't want another Accelerated exhaust though. I've already invested in an Invidia N1 exhaust. I like the look of it a little more and it doesn't have that aggressive kink where the mid-pipe connects to the muffler. The only thing I've enjoyed about the AP is the rolled tips. I definitely don't know if it's a $1000 product.

so get a replacement and just send it to me! haha

I'm having fitment issues with mine, as well, but Don is going to take care of it. They've tweaked the design a bit and upgraded the jig. I'm pulling mine off this weekend, boxing it up, and returning it for a swap. I love the sound of this exhaust and, coupled with a Motiv test pipe, it performs.

We always suggest our customers stick with parts from manufacturers who are experienced in what they do and have been building them for a long while. Invidia, Magnaflow, Borla, Bosal, all have experience and the facilities to test the parts extensively. I hate to see folks end up with expensive parts that don't work :(

Are you sure its a accelerated performance exhaust and not a Agency Power exhaust?

Im always heard Agency Power being called AP.

It's Accelerated Performance. I just said AP for shortness sake. I've already ordered an Invidia exhaust to replace this one. The only thing I don't like is that the tips aren't rolled.

You know... I take it you've never contacted the manufacturer? Sorry, but that's not right. You should have at least give the company a chance to make things right before badmouthing them in a public forum.

I see you ignored the part where I said "I have yet to hear back from them" which means I have contacted them. I only received 1 response so far and that was asking me a question about what part I had installed. I never said that the company was bad, or that no one should ever buy from them. I just said that with the issues I've had, it definitely isn't a $1000 catback.

READ AND COMPREHEND NEXT TIME PLEASE.

Fair enough. I did read over that part. Has been long since you've been waiting for an answer? Hopefully, they will get back to you and resolve this.

Call and ask for Don? I had to call a couple times but I finally did get Don on the phone. I imagine he'd tell you what he told me: ship it back and they'll get it sorted out.

I'm going to shoot a few pics of it installed on my car so that they'll know what's 'off' on the fitment.
