sigh... another attempt

All I want is an oil change and to swap out my tail-lights... I can't believe it really is this hard to schedule an appointment, make sure the parts are in, and find out if i'll need to leave my car overnight.

I did my first oil change at 1000 miles on my own, but never thought it would be this hard to get work done at a dealership. I'm about to quit and just go buy the oil from them, but I still need the taillights...

just another vent post. never mind me :mad0260:

It sucks youre having problems with that... Youre in a bigger area than I am but I had my oil changed last week and I didnt even have to schedule an appointment. Just drive up and they take care of it... I was out of there in like 45 minutes...

Hhahahahha i needed that meme. I feel like drop kicking anybody in the face with a toyota service/parts shirt on.

Yea I normally would just drop it off, but with the horror stories from dealerships taking a car out for joyrides, and then not using the synthetic oil makes me nervous.

On another note, I'm gonna go pick up my own oil and oil filter. Anybody have other recommendations for an oil filter besides the $30 stock version. I used a K&N fiter previously but forgot which model.

what are you doing with your tail lights exactly?

trying to get them replaced 'cause of the condensation issue. I was also supposed to fix the chirping noise from the fuel pump., which they said they would take care of too...

I guess it's a friday and they don't feel like working, so that's all they really have to do...

I know that feel. I wanted to bring in my car to get my lights looked at and they want me to leave the car there. I said it just needs to be looked at so you can confirm the condensation and order the parts. He then says the next "wait" appointment is next week, wtf.

i'm debating if i should live with crickets for the rest of my life or have my car see the inside of a dealership service bay

Get the oil filter at Subaru - it's under $10 there. Same part just different price for some unknown reason.

Geez man, learn to use basic hand tools... you said you already did one so why not do it again?

It's your best bet if you want to get things done, and properly

'cause I would save like 60-70 bucks from the oil/filter if toyota got it done, plus I would have to bring it in for the taillight swap and tire rotation anyways. So I figured I'd get it all done in one shot
