Bluetooth "action" button?
I probably picked a poor title but I'm looking to find a way to "call out" the Bluetooth prompt on my phone while connected to my BRZ.
The same way I could call out Siri (or the function to call the last number) from my old Motorola BT speaker without actually having to touch my phone. |
What about voice commands? Press "voice" button on stereo and say "hands free". It will bring you to voice activated menu of phone functions.

But I don't want the car's phone function, I want my phone to handle that.
Case in point, I want Siri on my iPhone to tell me the score of the last 49ers game without touching my phone. It is very easy with any BT headset/speaker, just push the button, wait for the prompt and speak. I can't find that "button" on the BRZ's controls... Am I missing something? |

The article is about Siri integration.
Maybe I'm not explaining myself correctly, it's not so much about using Siri through the car's BT connection as using the functionalities exposed by the phone through the BT connection. Just like you can with any BT headset/speaker using any BT-enabled phone. Again, Siri is just an example: "With a Bluetooth headset, press and hold the call button to bring up Siri." http://www.apple.com/ios/siri/siri-faq/ |
