Stock wheels + tires weight?
Trying to ship the stock wheels and tires, I think I read somewhere the rims weigh ~20lbs each. Any idea on tires?
Figured it would be slightly easier to ask than go weigh them myself, thanks to the internet. |
they are 40-41 pounds per wheel/tire
|
Ok so UPS won't mind if I slap a UPS label on there for 40lbs for each wheel?
My tires are also completely deflated if that means anything. |
Beware of damage if you don't protect the wheels. They have little space in trucks and throw stuff around.

Shipped for $135 to another Texas address. $150 insurance on each wheel. Driver is picking the wheels up in the morning.

When I weighed mine, they were 42 lbs wheel/tire.
|
what is the exact weight of the rim by itself?
|
20.1lbs
|
quite heavy for 17's, my 18's were about 19.6lbs and I thought they were HEAVY -- Enkei EV05's
|
I swapped the stock tires and TPMS to my new wheels today...so I weighed a stock bare wheel (no TPMS but did have balance weights) and it came to 20.8 lbs. I also weighed the bare 17x7.5 +40mm offset Enkei Fujin's before I swapped over the tires and TPMS, and they came to 17.0 lbs (they are listed at 17.1 lb).

My wheels are 18x7.5 et51 and weigh about 29 pounds each just the rim. All German stuff is heavy I guess. Cant wait to test drive one of these and see what light weight is like lol
