Canadian Pricing?

Sorry if this has been covered already, any speculations on what the starting price will be for the FR86 here in Canada?

Also does anyone know if a mechanical LSD is standard?

:thanks:

No one knows yet and we probably won't for quite some time. There isn't even word on if Toyota will release JDM pricing at the 2011 TAS let alone global pricing. But the smart money is on it being priced lower than the 2.0T Genesis Coupe (24,899 CAD) but above the Scion tC (20,850 CAD).

The original 86 was not even offered with the LSD option in Canada, even though you could get one in the states. Hopefully they don't make the same mistake again.:mad0260:Driving RWD in the winter without an LSD is really annoying and a lot less fun.

I bet you a timmys coffee that LSD will be standard on all Canadian models. Most manufacturers do that for Canada now.

Are you drinking milk or coffee? Double-Double already has enough milk in it, and you add more milk to it??? Too much milk, man.

Joke aside, I sincerely hope the base price would be between 20995 - 24995 with the fully equipped model to be at 27000. Sorry, no turbo. (Ahh, did I said that word again????)

:scared0016:

The real question is what is the CarCostCanada quote on it (Invoice Price)?

Also there is a new site called Carsaver.ca that does everything that Carcostcanada does for free.

Average markup on a Scion is $2000 so assume the dealer takes a 3% markup then the price will be more like 26k + Freight and taxes so about 30k out the door in Canada. It's a little steep.

At this point, we are all just guessing about price. Don't get too worried...

It's not standard on the Gen Coupe (basically the only competitor for this car, and not even really due to weight and size). But we can always hope.

Well I dont know if this works, My family is enolled in the Toyota Loyalty Program. We have been been purchasing Toyota Cars (NEW) since 1972. Whatever car we buy from Toyota they knock off $5000 from the price. So I dont know if that will be applicable to the FRS. Still waiting for a response from a Scion Sales rep. Anyone know if this applicable? If I get the FRS, I will be trading in my 08 Sienna Mini Van. I was already given present day trade in value of $10,000. So if the FRS is 27,000-10,000=17,000-(loyalty program ($5000))=12,000 +taxs. :)
