Painting steel wheels?

Any recommendations or hints on painting steelies?

I ordered my snows yesterday (Winterforce, mounted on black steelies), and have wanted a white set of steelies for years now. I know it's silly, and I can't really explain it, but I really want it.

I'm not looking to have them painted, but to do it myself. I don't know if I could plasti-dip them, but I guess it's possible.

Any ideas, hints or tips?

Should be like painting any other materials. Surface prep is key! Check out some diy vids on youtube they are always helpful

Scotchbrite pad, Duplicolor spray paint, Duplicolor clear, and flash cards to protect your tires from overspray.

I think I got it.

Would wet sanding be recommended? Like a good coat, followed by wet sanding, then a second coat?
