Assuming it is a similar system to lexus/toyota.
Flashing light means the system needs to be initialized. To initialize you can try: start with the window open (just slightly open should be fine) hold the button and close the window for 10 seconds past its full close position. This should initialize it. Also you can try to fully open and close the window.
Bottom line the system lost the information regarding jam protectio and window position and need to be reinitialized.

Hold the button up for 5+ seconds to close the window. The light should stop flashing and you should be able to open/close it from the driver side.

Just want to say thanks for this forum and the answer to the window problem. I had the same issue today and the suggested fix corrected my issue. And no worries, my vagina is not offended by someone's music choice.

It is a common problem. Don't forget to check every you get out to make sure it goes up or it can get quite wet when you get in the next morning. If you have been sporting a passenger, dont ever forget to check their window also since it might also be in the down position.

There is a good fix posted that disables the little up-down dance so that you wont get caught out by rain/snow in the car.
