Good project car ideas

Hi guys, my parents said they will buy me a project car to work on as long as it's under $500. I have a shop to work on the car and everything. I will work on any car as long as it's a Toyota lol.
Some Ideas sofar

Toyota Paseo 1.5L
Pros- Cheap to fix, Cheap to mod (4EFTE's can be swapped with minimal effort), shares parts with the Turbo Starlets
Cons- Its a f***in Paseo. Also I dont see too many 'seos around here. I don't have access to a local junkyard

Toyota Starlet
Pros- Same as Paseo, Better looking and more street cred (lol), Turbo Starlets might not exist in Canada.
Cons- Only available in Canada. I live 45 Minutes from the boarder but I dont know how taxes would apply.

AE86
Pros- Lightweight, cheap, 4cyl RWD coupe
Cons- Might be hard to find/ I dunno if I can find one for under $500.

KE70
Pros-Cheaper than AE86, Same benefits
Cons-Might be expensive to tune.

If anybody has anything to add please do.

MKIII Supra

Pros - Fun as hell, many have blown head gaskets so might be able to find a cheap one, tons of aftermarket ability, potential to be pretty darn quick
Cons - might not be able to find one under $500, upgrades can be costly

I had dreams of a 73 Celica with 2jz swap

couldnt come up with the 5K the guy wanted for the cleanest shell I have ever seen

for 500 I don't think you are gonna be able to get anything in good shape prob lots of body damage or rust. If anything you should hit up some junkers and see if they will sell you a rolling chasis or find a shell somewhere that will make your 500 budget more realistic

Really? Local guy here was selling 77 fastback (just the shell). He was going to do 2JZ project and started, but a lot of shit happened and need to sell asap and he was only asking 750 for it

Use this to get used to the FMR layout for when you get the FT-86. Get a 1996, it's supercharged!

Only real starlet is a kp61. You can find a shell (eventually) for about 500.

FWD is gay

No lying, when those first came out in the 90s that was one of my favorite everyday vehicles. No idea why, other than the fact I was 6 or 7 and didn't know better.

500 bucks not going to do anything worth much. even if you have a car paid for, still 500 bucks best its going to do for you is the intake and maybe some exhaust work.
With that said your going for show and in a old used car is never cool unless you got 10K to blow on it for restoration.

Now I think my key board is going out on me because I just spent the last minute fixing my typing. ah theres another error.......

I dont think he said anything about building a show car.
