2013 WRB BRZ Limited (6-speed Auto)

Picking up my new BRZ this Thursday (10/4/12). Reserving this thread out of sheer anticipation / excitement.

Will be updating potential mods once my enjoyment wears off in a few weeks.

\\10.5.12\\
Got the car yesterday night. Too dark for pictures so I took one this morning before I went to work. I dub thee...Sonic the BRZ.

Looks like everyone elses, but hey this one is finally MINE!

Congrats! Did you order it? If so, how long was the wait?

Yes and no. I preordered one first week of June and will be arriving mid-November. However, the same dealer is getting same trim and transmission in WRB instead of GBS and wanted to know if I wanted the WRB instead, since it will be here sooner.

No brainer, right?

More pictures! Cloudy day today...but got some good shots:

Car came with the fuel door cover. Not sure if I like it or not. Going to keep it on for a bit though.

Good going on opting for WRB.

Some quick things I've noticed since having the BRZ for a week now:

-I get more looks than when I was driving my 03 Legacy. A kid in a Forester almost drove off the road while looking behind at my car. (it's called a rear view mirror!)

-Gas mileage is good. First fill up...10 gallons almost got me 300 miles. Doing a lot of stop and go driving so I'll take that. Comparing my old Legacy @ 290 per tank(14 gallons)

-I garner more respect from STi owners. Took this last night @ LA Fitness

Since it is a DD I don't think I will be doing any mods until after winter. This will mostly be a journal about my winter driving experiences since I've always driven an AWD car.

Remove the gas door cover . Mine had it, couldn't stand it haha

PMok 10-11-2012 03:33 PM

congrats fellow blue owner.... car looks great, of course. :)
I got my car the same week you did. :happy0180:

The fuel sticker isn't terrible... I made sure not to get a car with it, but now that you've paid for it, might as well leave it on... unless you can peel it off and sell it to someone else.

I don't like it, but unfortunately it came with the car that I did not preorder, so I had to pay for it even if they took it off. So I'll leave it on for now but yes, it will be coming off come spring time (it protects the paint! Haha)

@PMok - NICE! How are you enjoying your car? 1 week in and I still can't believe I am one of only roughly 3000 (BRZ) owners in the USA!!

kwood9000 10-12-2012 11:10 AM

Congrats! Great color choice!

You better change the tires if you are going to be driving in ice or snow winter.

Ordering new Blizzak tires and steel wheels in 2 weeks. It shouldn't snow before then...at least not a lot.

It's been great, yeah it does feel kind of neat driving a rare car and feeling like it's some kind of limited production exotic!

DSOmegaX 10-12-2012 06:52 PM

Haha yeah mine came with the cover too, but couldn't stand it and eventually removed. But yes, congrats on the car and the color choice. Another fellow WRB! Amazingly where I am, even at BRZ meets, WRB seems to be a rare color for this car.
