Video/Go Pro Camera Mounting and locations

So,
I was wondering where everyone was mounting their Go Pro's or other video cameras for track days.

Normally I run one on the windshield looking forward and maybe one on the left side of the car.

Looking through some of the videos, it looks like some folks are mounting them on the back window looking forward, which is a pretty cool vantage point.

Any thoughts or suggestions? I have a couple of Go Pros and a few suction cup mounts.

the best thing to do especially if you are wanting to do video edits is to get as many angles as possible. play around everytime you go out. I havent gone to a track but i did a view on the bottom of the driver door facing towards the front... it gives a really cool view of what the tire is doing.

At my last track day I had my ContourHD video camera in a different spot for almost every session. I had one with it mounted to the headrest posts of the passenger seat with a mount I bought 6-8 years or so ago, one with it mounted to my helmet, and another with it mounted to upper left corner of the windshield.

Insert front tow hook, ziptie go-pro to that

Insert rear towhook, ziptie go-pro to that

Review footage and add dubstep soundtrack

Good idea. I hadn't thought about using the tow hooks.

For our offroad racing videos, we had the camera mounted on the lightbar on the roof. That gave a good view of the terrain ahead and the suspension working. Not really the case here though.

Some of our offroad racing videos are posted up here if anyone is interested. http://durkee-racing.com/gallery.html

Nice vids. I'd rather be driving your buggy on the road if it were legal.

Thanks. It's gets a little squirrely over 80 on pavement. Perfectly fine on dirt though.

That rally fighter in my video is 50 state street legal. If you haven't seen the top gear us with it you should watch it. Pretty entertaining.

Upside down on the rear window is convenient.

Gonna try that one next time.

I like suction mount to the bottom of the right rear 1/4 panel, looking along the car, with some cambered wheel/suspension movement in the left of frame. :)
