Hi rev power loss?

So i eas testing my car against my dads fusion sport and at like 6800 RPM in 2nd it felt lik the power cut out for a sec. Any ideas what happened?

could you have actually hit the rev limiter?

lbroskee 09-29-2012 10:36 PM

Hmm, possible. When does that kick in?

At or about 7,400 RPM (redline), no?

Try to duplicate the problem to see if it were to happen again... Maybe you were delayed in your shift (I make the error at times too, therefore I set my rev-beep / light alert @ 7,000 RPM to help remind me).
