Which intake.

Which intake seems to work best.

I've already set on the SRT header back exhaust. I like it and their shop is near me.
Will all intakes require tune to be effective and does tuning void warranties?

I'm actually in the middle of writing a comparison article between the AIRAID and aFe intake. It should be up tonight.

It sure does, but the aFe looks better.

If you're getting a tune anyway, you can save some money by skipping the intake all together. Based on Visconti's research and analysis, the intakes are getting their gains from leaning out the mixture, which is already realized by a tune. In this case, just get a washable drop-in filter and you're good to go. If you're not planning on getting a tune, then they're all going to give you the same minimal gains (in other words, not a whole heck of a lot), so it'll be down to the sound of the intake (personal preference), ease of installation, aesthetic look in the engine compartment, customer support from the company, and of course - price.

As foobar said most of the intakes dont seem to do much when combined with a tune.

Perrins seemed to but its not out yet sadly.

I'm in the same boat as you OP. I'm set on the SRT header back exhaust. Now I'm just waiting to see what's on the market for intakes. Being familiar with SRT's work, I would bet they are working on an intake with it's own ecu calibration. They've done it in the past. Only time wil tell in this case

I think that is debatable, the Airaid system with the MAF in box looks much cleaner to me. I do like the look of the aFe box though:thumbsup:

There's essentially nothing great on the market right now. I'd wait.

Seems like a lot of people on here went with Injen, afe, or airaid.
