Dual exit muffler delete

So I decided to make my own Muffler delete. Dual exit not a single exit and this is what I came up with so far. I know it is not stainless but it only cost me about $45 so I cannot complain and the sound is amazing. I will post a sound video at some point later in the day. also, I am not 100% done yet I am going to at some point this week remove all the stickers, clean the welds, paint it black and install tips so that it looks better. but here is what I got so far.

My main bay, this is lift 1 of 2 and I have 2 flat bays and an Alignment rack all to myself so I am generally pretty busy during the day:

More mock up:

Jack stands and hose clamps can be amazing tools sometimes:

Finished next to stock muffler:

Installed behind:

Again, I am going to remove stickers, clean welds, paint, install tips. but I was just excited and I wanted to share right away.

Here's mine. Stainless. About $100 in material and too many man hours.

Do you notice exhaust flow favoring one tip over the other?

Hardrock4445 09-29-2012 11:11 AM

By doing just a "hand" test no noticable difference. Was going to do a center split but didnt have time for the multiple bends. This took long enough as it was

NotSoJDM 09-29-2012 12:51 PM

Your tellin me lol. There's about 14 hours of fab time in mine.

I just have noticed my passenger tip has lots if carbon build up in it. The driver tip is nearly spotless inside lol.

That is brilliant, if it didn't take you so long to make I would totally buy one from you for $200 or so. Good work, sir!

Sound videos??

NotSoJDM 09-30-2012 01:18 AM

I could decrease fab time by using mandrels instead of pie cutting the bends.
Might consider this.

This is what's up. Cheap and possibly most effective.

I dont see why you have that massive bend section... Couldn't you have run it directly to the Y ?
