More on the CG and balance...
heres an interesting picture i found in a car and driver magazine that puts the FR-S against a porsche cayman S (typical fr-s review...up against some crazy race car over twice the price :))
Posting this mainly to help show not only the CG's height, but also the actual center of the car: http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/frsspecs.jpg Notice where they place the "+" to show the CG? i'd say thats a few inches behind the shifter. you can also refer to the bottom where it shows the Caymans CG, its a little more toward the rear due to its mid/rear engine placement. Also, if youve ever drifted, oversteered, or done any type of powerslides for more than just a second, you can REALLY feels this cars balance and its main pivot point. So much fun this car is sideways. |
