Clutch / Diff / Gearbox issue?

Anyone else with the Manual having the 'BUMP' thing happen after you let it coast in the neutral, come to a compleate stop - press clutch move shifter to gear a little and you hear / feel BUMP (even clutch is fully engadged)? It feels like clutch would not be pressed fully and you would try and shift in. Had this from the very first day i took my FRS - and while i was at Subaru dealers - asked them the same quetion - they told me that they have this on 2 Manual BRZ too... Kinda strange thing... Also - my rear diff seems to be movng a lot even on some light shifting (1 / 2 gears)... Will have to get my FRS on lifter and see whats up.

I noticed the same. But I think it is normal. I had similar feeling in my previous Mazda car.

My previous cars used to do this too. I wait a couple of seconds after depressing the clutch and before shifting into 1st gear to avoid this.

It's just the input side of your tranny spinning down to engage with the completely stopped 1st gear output side. Not all that uncommon.

Try shifting into first just before car comes to a complete stop. I find it makes it very easy to shift into 1st that way. :party0030:
