So why was your car so loose in that last video? What did you change from the other runs? Just more power?

I made a bunch of changes, I got rid of the understeer :party0030: but now it is too loose on entry. I will be making changes the next time out to find the sweet spot.

Nice! Playing with camber/tire pressure? Can't remember whether you have adjustable sways or not....anyway, any plans to do a write up on the Raceseng pulleys with some pics?

Looking forward to it as well, have seen some good numbers out of the EL headers but only one real plot from the Borla UEL headers. The JDL is uncatted only, correct?

xxscaxx 05-10-2013 08:24 PM

yes, uncatted.

Cool video. Watched it with my 5yr old son and he was chanting your name the whole time. Remembers you from Hershey.

http://www.moto-east.com/dynos/ft86/stock_vs_modded.jpg

Videos forthcoming. Will update the VOD thread as well as this is some major stuff. This is with the JDL UEL header AFTER a re-tune compared to stock, full Perrin unresonated exhaust, intake, E85. 200whp NA has been broken!!! More torque in the (area formerly known as) the dip than factory peak!

Here it is against an ethanol map with the same mods but much colder day:

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/image.../wol_error.gifThis image has been resized. Click this bar to view the full image. The original image is sized 1280x897 and weights 224KB.http://www.moto-east.com/dynos/ft86/headeronly.jpg

And after tuning it on a comparable run:

Again, the blue ethanol day was in the 40's vs today's 80 degrees, big difference despite the correction.

As expected, correlates to the g-meter perfectly! Once we get the other one we'll do some testing on pump gas to see how that does. Driving the two cars back to back is like night and day.

wgnzlz 05-10-2013 09:51 PM

WOW! Awesome job Eric and Mike. I will definitely have to get with Mike again after I get my header installed.

Thoughts on Rivals vs. the Z2? I see you've taken the rivals off this go round.

I sold the BFG's after the Pro. I didn't like them in 255's, I think the 245's will be better.

To be honest, I am not really impressed with either tire.

Thought about trying the Toyo's

Does that go inline like a AB Delete pipe or does it go inthe regular muffler opening with piping in and out?

I am going to do a all aluminum cat back.

Simmons

Kido1986 05-18-2013 09:12 PM

Im thinking about doing a straight pipe catback but Ill only install it for national level events. Aluminum with no reso or muffler after the cat (Im Stock/Street/RTR class). God its going to be too loud...

It might be loud without the resonator, Moto-East might be selling the aluminum cat-back later on.It will be really light.

Do you lose any bump travel with the raceseng camber plates? They do look great.
