Just changed oil...crickets got but new pulley noise
 

Did anyone notice a pulley noise/shake after they changed the oil? I put in 5.8 quarts and the dipstick reads fine. The engine sounds better but still idles around 600 RPM. I'm glad the chirping is gone though :thumbup:

Also, the oil that drained out looks really really dark. I'm glad I changed it. I have 2400 miles on the clock.

What oil did yo put in? Brand, viscosity?

It's short lived. My chirping went away for a couple hundred miles. Then came back.

Toyota synthetic, 0w20. Bummer about the crickets...I'll post a video of the pulley noise soon.

Sounds like a coinky-dink. Changing the oil wouldn't affect the crickets noise nor the pulley.

I changed the oil twice (at 1k and 3k), and I have no crickets or pully noise. Just the normal DI tapping. I am almost hitting 5k miles.
