BRZ: Good for grip and drift
Hi,
Thought I wanted to just share my first track outing in the BRZ. It has been mentioned so often, that the BRZ is meant for a more mature audience, thus a more initial understeer setup as compared to the 86/FR-S. Having done one trackday, that could not be further from the truth. To assume that its a more muted edition of the 86/FR-S is an understatement. It all depends on how the driver wants to drive it. My only conclusion, it really is an FR car. If anyone's keen, here are 2 vids compiled from the outing. Compared to my last car which was a JDM FD2 Type R, the BRZ certainly lacks in top-end power. It does not help that it comes less equipped as a ready-to-track car. Nonetheless, it more than makes up in terms of a lively driving experience. Easy to control definitely considering its really my first FR car. I am definitely looking forward to getting to drive it more as the car develops with bolt-on parts.
