California Model differences?

Are there any differences between the California Spec vs. the 49 state model?

Saw a quote on BRZ that says Spec - C California.

we should start a statewide protest; gather all hotrods in CA, cruise to Sacramento and start reving our engines in front of the Governors office

The sad thing is they make life harder on the entire country, not just CA. I cut trees down for a living and C.A.R.B. makes life tough for me in regards to chainsaws, leaf blowers, weed trimmers etc. Any new piece of equipment I get has to be thoroughly gone through and remove all the emissions control devices, install larger needles in the carburetor or replace it all together.

C.A.R.B. hates small engines and especially 2 strokes.

displays of immaturity and lawless actions rarely increase the rights of the people.

You'd be far better off creating a presentation on the economic impact of stifling the aftermarket industry in the birthplace of hot rods and hot rodding....

At the end of the day Cali is run by Dem's and Liberal nut jobs...

they hide behind "protect the environment" but have no valid proof and regularly deny proof-of-the-contradictions they create with their laws...

There is a smog change in effect Jan 2013 so it's not that bad.

I really don't really know why you guys are bitching since you don't have to smog a new car for 5 yrs anyways.

I don't think anyone is worried about their emissions being effected with modding. It's the visual inspection that people who modify can't beat. If something that needs a CARB stamp doesn't have one you don't pass.

This answers the OP's question. To confirm, i'm in the process of registering my CO car here in CA and it just passed local SMOG w/ no issues.

Not sure what the rest of the chatter on here is all about ;)
