You haven't driven one, much less seen one in person I'd bet, and the conclusion by the people that have seems to be that it is indeed worth every penny.

If you are coming here (and FT-86 forum) to argue about 0-60 times and such, it's likely that you won't be around for long, but whatever. It's usually the fanboys themelves who cry "fanboy" when somebody steps up and presents something in the correct light.

Fact:
Toyota did indeed create a supercar before. If you don't consider it one, fine. That does not change another fact; Just because it's their first doesn't mean they had to price it to make it accessible to everyone. Nobody told Konigsegg that they couldn't price the CC8 at $350,000 their first time out. No one certainly told Pagani that they couldn't price the Zonda C12 @ $320,000. The LFA is quicker and laps faster than both.

What's scary is that you can't recognize what's a great car and what's a "great car for the money".

That is all.

You didn't present nothing to me but some car in the 60's with a 2.0l I6 that Yamaha pretty much built for Toyota. I wonder if Nissan had priced the GT-R at 300k would you feel the same way about it being overpriced? I pretty much know your answer and 90% of this boards answer. After all this is a TOYOTA forum right? And to the guy that says I'm a troll I pretty much have love for cars that Toyota have built with sport intentions and a good price to go with it(Supra TT,MR-2). Forgive me for not going crazy for the yaris, prius and corolla. The problem with forums nowadays is that people become so emotionally attach towards a brand you like that you can't take criticism or opinions but you love for others to take your opinions and run with it or else they are considered a troll.

If GT-R chassis is made out of Aluminum & Carbon Fiber, V10 that redline at 9.5k rpm, weight less than 3,200lbs & tranny doesn't break every single time you put it in R mode and raced, then sure bring it out w that price! Love to see what Nissan can do with their technology... til Nissan actually makes $300k super car, you can STFU and keep driving that fake vtec RSX.

No, I don't hate Nissan. Most of my extended Family only drives Nissan (uncle is Nissan freak), so don't make that mistake that I'm anti-Nissan, cuz I used to own Nissan car before.

But you are missing my point!!

I never said the LF-A was a terrible car. And I can tell I really pinched a nerve with you guys because all you guys do is curse and say "Suck a ****"/"STFU" and keep driving that fake vtec RSX. All I stated was my opinion about its price and you guys go apeshit and make your blood pressure go up. I'm glad to see what this site has to offer as far as maturity.

Also your car is nothing to write home about.

Im not a fanboy of any brand, but comparing 500 units of fully carbon fiber monocoque bodies and the highest levels of technology most any production vehicles ever receive to a mass produced car like the GTR that cant shake a stick at what the LFA has to offer in any catagory is a rookie mistake.

I dont give a fuk about these brands, and this isnt just a toyota forum, subaru is a big part of all of this.

Waaaaaait a minute, you own a honda... nevermind I see now. :bonk:

Ferrari pulled all of this off except for the CF and 2 extra cylinders part but with a dual clutch gearbox instead with a much lighter curb weight and price tag of 240k.

And you own a Impreza. Your point? And for the record I don't like any Honda/Acura currently made especially that CR-Z thing. I don't cling to brands.

That's nice, but where's Nissan on that one? Exactly. No where to be found.

Also where's the $240k price tag Ferrari on the Nur time? iirc Faster than LFA Ferrari is 599XX & Enzo. But wait... Ferrari disclose the actual price tag of 599XX, but pro is estimated bout $2m and Enzo is $1m. Again where that $240k Ferrari falls on Nur time?

7:24.22 Nissan GT-R (2011) Toshio Suzuki October 2010 Nissan conducted test.[11] Semi-wet conditions. 2

7:38 Lexus LFA Horst von Saurma September 2010 Sport Auto conducted test,[25] Bridgestone Potenza S001 tires used.

Illusions of Grandeur?

Where is this magical 7:19?

GT-R also have the rec 7:54, 7:38, 7:34... yeah try again.

SUB-FT86 01-01-2011 09:55 PM

I think my point has been proven. The GT-R doesn't stand a chance against the more powerful and lighter LF-A on the most highly regarded track in the world?.........Yeah Right!!!!

Peace Out!!!

DanZilla 01-02-2011 01:19 AM

Finally, the troll is gone :happy0180:

DanZilla 01-02-2011 01:29 AM

Seriously, what car would you rather own, Sub?

On another note...

You know what...I bet wealthy, rich people laugh at people when they make silly comparisons on cars they cannot afford or ever driven. lol

Seriously, I bet they laugh so hard when they think of someone rather having a GTR in their garage over having a LF-A in their garage.

Are you kidding me? GT-R proven what? Breaks faster than LFA? Oh yeah, GT-R beat it on that one. Every time you put R mode, tranny get busted.

What? $240k Ferrari is doing same thing as LFA? What? Ferrari Italia? Have you seen one in person? I bet you not, cuz it burn to crisped. Every single Italia have been burned due to wire problem. Every article you see about Italia is bout how it burned.

Try again newbie
