Exhaust Pipe Diameter
If I run a 2.5" diameter pipe and split it into a Y-section for a dual exit, what pipe diameter would I need for the pipes exiting in order to keep constant flow?
I figured the diameter of the two pipes would have to be around 1.75" diameter. If you go from 2.5" - 1.75"x2, would that change the sound dramatically? Would it drone, sound to raspy, high pitch... or worse.... sound RICE? Can anyone chime in and post your knowledge / opinions. |
Mine is 2.25", but you could continue with the 2.5". It really doesn't matter since it's such little amount of pipe.

Anyways, my idea was to do a muffler delete, use 2.5" pipe from resonator spliting into two 1.75" or 2.0" diameter pipes, then installing a 2.5" test pipe. CounterSpace Garage have a similar setup and it sounds sweet. You can see their videos on youtube, they have two videos with berk technology muffler deletes and 2.5" test pipe. |

I have heard videos of their single track pipe, and I like how it sounds, but I don't want to have an empty hole on my rear bumper:lol:... (you get it? that can be misinterpreted). Have they recorded videos or sounds of how their dual muffler delete sounds like? |

I tried looking around and couldn't find any. I think maybe @Neziah who was the one that tested the offset, may know if they took video of the dual muffler delete. |
