Price request funtionality
 

I've been on other forums where there is a page setup so that you can enter in details of what you're looking to purchase and then when submitted, the form automatically sends a PM to each vendor with the request. Is that something that we could consider as it gets pretty difficult trying to note down every vendor when trying to ask for price quotes.

I think it's not a bad idea, but good luck getting all of the vendors on board.

For me it's not about just price.

Try this:
If you are looking to buy something, go post up a WTB thread. Any vendor that takes longer than 1 business day to respond shouldn't be considered.

Huh, I didn't know there were something like that. Idea is cool... but idk, it all up to our boss to decide on that

If you need I can PM you a link to one of the forums I go to so you can see what it looks like. You don't really need the vendors to be on board. The way that it works on the other boards that I've seen is that it sends an individual PM to each and not a group PM. That way, each vendor can choose to respond or not and other vendors will not know what they are quoting for price.

As for posting up a WTB ad. . .I didn't think that would be a good idea to flood the vendor classifieds like that. Maybe an alternative would be to put a WTB forum up?
