Engine noise... advice?

You could have sent him to the new page that mentions the TSB fix for it.

Print out the TSB or call your local dealer before you attempt to have them fix it. More than likely they will play dumb and pretend they've never heard about it, tell you it's normal and send you on your way.

Sounds like your car is low/empty on Oil..Car could be burning or dropping oil levels - Id check that. I had the same issue along with CEL and i dropped it off at the dealer ever since .
