Video and Pictures of my FR-S's first Wash

Figure I'd share, even though we've all had our fill of looking at stock FR-S's I'm sure. lol (and I already got chewed out by my friends for using a brush on the car, I'll be switching to sheepskin mitts for next weeks wash; don't pick on me =p)

Wow very nice!

Nice work on the vid and pics. I know you say not to beat you up about it but it hurts to see the brush hit the paint.

Also the writing in the dirt is dragging the dirt across the paint, a no-no.

SO purrdy!

Few tips I've learned from watching Drive Clean on the Drive network, I'd suggest watching most of them! All of this is from tips I've learned from Drive Clean, so if you watch them, you'll get all of this! (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...6&feature=plcp)
- Use a sheepskin wash mitt! (You've already noted that one!) Get two actually, one for the car and one for the rims! NEVER mix them up!
- Instead of spraying straight at the car with a stream, use more of a "rain" mode and let the water shower over the car.
- Use a micro fibre towel to dry off your car.
- Don't wax in circles! You'll create circular swirls which are way more difficult to get out than straight line marks!
- You don't need to press hard with the wax, and you should lightly wipe it off after with a microfiber towel.
- If you can, wax with a synthetic wax, then let it cure for a day, then wax with a carnuba wax on top of that.

Just my tips! (TBH, I haven't even done some of them yet! LOL)

Also, awesome song choice!! :D

haha, yeah this is the first car I ever put any effort into keeping clean (and my first car made in the last decade) so it's a learning experience, bare with me!

I pretty much bought all that stuff at Autozone with a 100 dollar gift card I've had sitting for the last few months. So I've got room to pick up proper stuff. Hopefully I'll do a better job next time I have a reason or a shoot.

Thanks for the tips, guys!

Thanks for the video. I hope Senna from the UK forum doesn't see this, he will be traumatised by that broom.
