Just to confirm: where should Opti-Guard be applied?

I know this is an absurdly simple (and probably obvious) question, but I want to double-check before I take any action in regards to my purchase. Should Opti-Coat/Guard be applied to the wheels, trim, glass, etc, or just to the painted surfaces? I've seen lots of posts mentioning the other areas being coated, but I want to make sure that this is how it's intended to work rather than just how it usually works. What is the right way to do it? If I'm paying someone, what should they be doing?

Optimum recommends painted surfaces only (including wheels). Many detailers, including me, also apply to trim, plastic, metal. Some apply to glass, some dont. Optimum recommends not doing it on glass. Ive never had an issue with it on glass.

i believe you can apply it to any of those that you mentioned. anything exterior.

My guy who did mine said that it can go on anything, but they don't want you doing the glass.

Everything including glass is fine. The reasoning for not doing glass is that if you leave any high spots, it can distort your vision. If your detailer is half way competent, it shouldn't be an issue.

It's safe on anything. But putting it on glass isn't really worth paying for (if it's extra). The wipers and rolling down/up windows will rub it off eventually.
