Black GTS with Aero Opticoated

I had my Opticoat experience today, thanks to Frank from Bright Shine. I managed to book in during the week as he is booked pretty heavily. I had heard that Frank puts in a lot of effort during preparation but I found out this was hugely under stated! It was pretty incredible / amazing! He spend over 4 hours washing and polishing the car before we even got to the coating. So much love is put into this stage that its hard to believe until you see it.

Since pictures speak a thousand words I've attached pics.

looks fantastic, care to share how much you piad for the work??

Side note.. I would recommend packing a eski and deck chair as there is between 4-6 hours of work/love involved in the process.

Usually its more expensive but Frank is doing $420 for ft86 forum users. slightly cheaper if you don't want glass/lights etc done. (group buy type scenerio)

This is about half the price of most OEM paint protection packages and twice the quality of product.

$420 sounds well worth it

Very sexy ! Now post polish would you say it became glossier or less so after Opticoat?

I love the idea that not only does it protect the paint but the rest too and supposedly makes washing off crap like bugs etc a breeze ! Good price !

Yeah apparently it is even glossier if you lay down some wax over the top, WAX ON WAX OFF.. but I imagine polishing wouldn't be the best idea as anything abrasive it going to physically wear down any type of coating.

With bugs and crap, easier to get off but also if left for a few days in the sun even then it will just break down and fall off since it can't stick to the coating. Still recommended to wash off ASAP obviously.

Cheers, although you're not supposed to touch it afterwards, just wash it. I get great results by polishing & waxing meself using Meguiars Wet Look polish & Yellow Wax paste although it's a good 4 hours work at least once a year. I may consider Opticoat instead !
